Mainstream Group is the farming division of the Norwegian holding CERMAQ a fully integrated world leader in salmon production.
Mainstream has operations in Canada, Scotland, Norway and Chile and it's production of over 120.000 tons makes us the second largest producer of farmed salmon in the world.
CERMAQ is also a world leader in salmon feed production through it's feed division EWOS. Around 40% of the world´s production is fed by Ewos. Organic Salmon is also part of the activities of the company.
August 18: World leader in smoked salmon Morpol ASA has obtained 100 per cent of Mainstream Scotland for NOK 350 million (EUR 44.2 million). The combined Morpol - Mainstream Scotland companies will turn into a unique vertically integrated player in the salmon aquaculture and processing industry.
Mainstream Scotland’s financial results were consolidated into Morpol ASA on 1 August 2010.
