The Danish Shellfish Centre (DSC) is an independent research, technology and development institution founded in 2002 by local and regional authorities and organisations in the shellfish industry. DSC is a non-profit organisation with the overall aim of promoting sustainable utilisation of the coastal zone with focus on shellfish production. DSC has activities within four main areas: research, dissemination, service and consultancy and production.

Dansk Skaldyrcenter er et forsknings-, formidlings- og oplevelsescenter som har til opgave at sætte fokus på Limfjordens skaldyr i såvel dansk som international sammenhæng. Centeret har taget alle moderne teknologier i brug i produktionen af især østers, blåmusling og hummer.
Men også andre muslingearter, krabber og forskellige tangarter er på laboratoriebordet og forhåbentlig snart også på spisebordet.
