Opposing Flows Aquaculture Inc. holds the global rights to a unique, patented “opposing flows” recirculating aquaculture system, and will manufacture and sell these systems to land-based aquaculture operations domestically and through distribution partners internationally. The design of the tanks allows for easy retro-fitting of existing buildings, and maximizes the number of gallons of production to floor space square footage. The OFA tank system creates a current of “opposing flows” of water inside the tanks, efficiently removing the solids and oxygenating the water without the need to infuse liquid or industrially generated oxygen, while stripping out the CO2 and ammonia.
Opposing Flows Technology commenced business in 1997. After many years of research and development the company was awarded a patent on it’s “Opposing Flows” technology. Opposing Flows Technology now offers complete turn key service from engineering to construction management to equipment fabrication and installation.
