Cooke Aquaculture suffers major blow due to escapee salmon

Cooke Aquaculture salmon firm suffered a major drawback when thousands of almost ready to be harvested salmon broke free and swam into the open sea.
The firm's farmed salmon facility in Hermitage Bay lost around 20,000 salmon, which managed to escape from a sea cage last week. The firm blames high tides and unusually strong currents for the incident, which submerged and opened one of the pens on 18 September, reports CBC News.
