Furuno Electric Co., Ltd. (Public, OSA:6814) is a Japan-based manufacturer mainly engaged in the manufacturing and sale of electronic marine equipment and industrial electronic equipment that utilize ultrasound and electromagnetic wave sensor technologies.

Its electronic marine equipment include sea navigation instruments, fish catching instruments, radio communications equipment and others. Its industrial electronic equipment include radio data transfer systems, electronic equipment for aircrafts, global positioning system (GPS) navigators and automated analytical equipment for clinical examinations.

Since commercializing the world's first fish finder in 1948, FURUNO has supplied many types of products for the marine electronics market. By using its exclusive ultrasonic and electronics technologies, FURUNO has developed various types of products that were the first in Japan or the world to offer particular functions or capabilities. Today, FURUNO is a full-line manufacturer of marine electronics products with operating bases over 79 countries around the world. The company has a well-established brand backed by a solid position in the marine electronics industry that includes a roughly 50% share of the global marine radar market.

On December 1, 2009, the Company merged with a Hyogo-based subsidiary.
