Hydramec Offshore Hydraulic Systems based in Gt. Yarmouth was founded in 1990 and is pleased to have celebrated its twentieth year in business in 2010 and its fifteenth year building ROV Launch And Recovery Systems (LARS) and will be celebrating its 25th year in business in early 2015 by buying and moving to 20,000 square foot new premises doubling existing internal floor space and complete with half an acre of outside storage.
The company started out repairing and maintaining a large variety of ships deck equipment and refurbishing ROV LARS. In 1996 we started building the first Hydramec LARS from scratch and re-evaluating what would be most important to the customer, since then LARS have been a core business.
Another core business Hydramec is proud to be a part of is the responsibility of maintaining a considerable fleet of offshore vessels on the behalf of our clients, such as rig supply, cargo, survey and fishing fleets, we regularly repair deck cranes, davits, windlasses, power packs, Steering gear and controllable pitch propeller systems and we will work on any hydraulic system that needs repairs or maintenance in the area.This has given us the opportunity to comply with all the latest regulations and where possible improve the design from experience and customer feedback.
