Prices
The average price of salted herring roes imports (HS 030520010) was JPY 813/kg in March, down 12% on that of February and up 9% on that of March 2017. During the first three months, it averaged JPY 906/kg, up 1% in value on that of the same period in the previous year.

Markets
Imports of salted of herring roes (or dried), HS 030520010, reached 64 tonnes in the month analysed, worth JPY 52 million CIF at Japanese Customs, down 57% in volume and 62% in value on that of the previous month and up 64% in volume and 79% in value on those of March 2017.

In the three months, imports totalled 342 tonnes, worth JPY 310 million.
The main supplier of herring roes of HS 030520010 was Canada during the period, with 212 tonnes and JPY 191 million.
