White Tuna preserves are produced with best quality raw materials and following company’s experience of more than 100 years elaborating Premium canned fish.

The company has its own production facilities which allow the whole production process to be controlled in house and ensure the maximum quality to the final product. This allows to meet the customer’s expectations and a constant search for continuous improvement. This is a significant added value for Arroyabe’s customers, compared with other brands that outsource the production and are not able to control the quality of their products.

White Tuna, also known as Albacore or Bonito del Norte, is considered a superior tuna because of its exquisite flavour, white tone and smooth texture.

The traditional process used by Arroyabe enables to produce high quality products. The company’s  motto is to produce healthy, natural products that keep their traditional flavour. Therefore, they apply strict quality control standards throughout the production process which begins with the selection of the fish and continues with a completely traditional manufacturing of all its canned fish.

The White Tuna/Albacore is caught in summer in the Bay of Biscay by selective, ecological and traditional fishing (pole and line). Cantabrian anchovy is caught in the Bay of Biscay during spring using purse seine nets, an artisanal surface fishing method. This fishing method respects the environmental balance and marine sustainability

Arroyabe is certified in IFS (International Food Standard certificate), one of the most important certifications in food safety and quality of processes and products. In addition, Arroyabe is a member of the CNTA (National Center for Food Safety and Technology) which contributes to the development and innovation of food companies, and by extension, promotes the competitiveness of the industry.

White tuna fillets are introduced in glass jars one by one by experienced hands, improving the texture, flavour, and appearance of its products.

Arroyabe is certified in the MSC chain of custody standard and its products are in compliance with Friend of the Sea Criteria for Sustainable Fisheries. All its products are Dolphin Safe certified, which assures that the tuna does not come from vessels that chase and encircle herds of dolphins.
