Detailed Selling Lead Description
Subject:
European Union - ++ Demand ++ -Illegal Bluefin Tuna sales throughout Europe
Message:
Dear all
My name is Claus Zinker, I live in Munich and I sending this report with my
name on it even though I am sure that things will get messy. Illegal Tuna
was the reason that my company has ran out of business as I was always
trying to sell legal Bluefin with ICCAT document and always found my self
being more expensive as the mafia of Bluefin in Malta Greece Italy and
Cyprus keeps sending to Germany, France, Holland and UK illegal Bluefin
Tuna marked as Tuna Alalunga or Swordfish or just as Fresh Fish.
It comes to Germany and the rest of the countries either by truck or plane
and there is no control at all. I know that ICCAT has launched electronic
ICCAT Certificates but this doesn't help as if it's not declared as Bluefin
you just don't need an ICCAT.
If there were basic controls in place it would be easy to stop that crime
against the environment and against all people who try and want to be legal.
Bluefin Tuna as most of you know comes in big boxes and each fish weights
from 30-300kg so it's easy to spot. I have spent a lot of time gathering
information and details in order to send this email to each and everyone of
you pointing out all the companies that I am aware of that buy and sell
illegal Bluefin.
I have included in this email the Maltese Government and Police as most of
the illegal Tuna comes from there and we are talking for more than 5000kg
per week of illegal stock finding it's way in Europe. I have also include
ICCAT members, EU commission staff, German Authorities, Dutch Authorities,
Greenpeace, FAO and many more. I want to believe that there are still
active laws and people who care that will take this seriously as everything
that I have included in this email is easy to be checked from all of you
really easy.
I have also copied on the cc field some of the biggest importers of illegal
Bluefin Tuna in Europe as far as I am aware of.
Most of EU wholesalers who trade in illegal Tuna do not buy directly but
many use the following company who specialises in illegal Tuna trading for
the last 20+ years and no one has ever done anything to close them down.
They even supply directly restaurants especially in Germany as they have
personal relations with them for many years.
The company is :
ORCA SEAFOOD SL part of "Star Group" based in Alicante, Spain (under the
nose of ICCAT) CIF/IVA: ESB53684015 C/Alguena 7 Pol. Ind. Aguamarga
Alicante, CP:03008, Spain

The biggest farms that export illegal Tuna in Malta are:

http://azzopardigroup.com/ajd-tuna-limited/
http://mff.com.mt/ (working closely with Orca Seafood for many years and
Orca's person in charge Mr. Munir) and last but not least Fish & Fish Co Ltd (I
cannot find their website)
In Greece the biggest exporters of illegal Tuna are:
