During week 48, the average price of fresh salmon (Salmo salar) was NOK 63.25 (EUR 6.09/kg). This figure is up 3% on that of the previous week and up 13% on that of the same week in 2018. Compared with the same week in 2017, it was up 30% in value according to Norwegian Statistics.

The average price of exports of frozen salmon was NOK 59.84 (EUR 5.55/kg), 7% higher than the price of the previous week and 2% on the same week of 2018, growing 12% in relation to the 2017.

Markets
Exports of fresh salmon during the week reported 21,783 tonnes. This figure is up 1% on that of the previous week and 10% on that of the same week in 2018; it was up 4% on that of the same week in 2017. So far this year, exports of salmon registered 868,495 tonnes, up 6% on that of the same period in 2018 and 13% on that of 2017.

Exports of frozen products during the week reported 596 tonnes. This figure is up 5% on that of the previous week and up 49% on that of the same week in 2018; it was down 12% on that of the same week in 2017. During the year, exports of frozen salmon registered 19,240 tonnes, up 13% on that of the same period in the previous year and down 5% on that of the same period in 2017.
