Impudent and obscene it turns out to observe how a wage conflict of around 500 thousand pesos ends up rotting tons of prawns on the routes. The SOMU appealed to the cuts of accesses before the weakness of the strike in the ports.
Believing that the 500 tons in Puerto Madryn and the 200 tons in Puerto Deseado that will end up in the garbage is a union achievement against companies, it is not taking dimension of the affront to an entire society that means in the midst of economic crisis letting 700 tons of food rot due to pickets that do not allow the trucks to travel with prawns.
This point was reached as a consequence of the weakness registered by the strike initiated by the United Maritime Workers Union (SOMU). Until Friday they had not been able to stop the freshwater fleet that is on the shrimp resource in national waters.
Last Thursday they changed their strategy and tried to prevent the entry of trucks with fuel to the docks, but the immediate reaction of the dockworkers of the SUPA ended with the claim of the SOMU unionists, who were expelled by that other sector of workers who reject lose downloads due to freezer conflict.

SUPA faced them
On Friday night, the local leadership of the SOMU Puerto Madryn advanced with the first pickets on Route A010 and at the entrance to the Industrial Fishing Park, preventing the transit of trucks carrying the shrimp from the freshwater vessels.
Thus, the SOMU first tried to add the “solidarity” of the sailors of the high altitude freshwater fleet, but the vast majority of them chose to continue working normally. Then they tried to stop the trucks with fuel to curtail the right to work of those sailors who did not go on strike. But the SUPA stopped them and ran them from the port.
Plants without supply
Faced with this weakening of the direct action measures, and in view of the clear wear and tear of the strike, the sailors' union appealed to set fire to decks, cut routes, measures that later were extended to the income to Trelew and also in Puerto Deseado.
The highest authorities of the SOMU celebrated and celebrated as a success that 700 tons of food are rotting on the routes, while, simultaneously, thousands of workers in the food industry ran out of raw materials to process in the plants, and consequently they will charge less for such circumstance.
