Argentinean shrimp fishing areas
In comparison with the figures corresponding to the first eight months of 2018, a drop in landings of 8.9% is recorded. However, it should be noted that the fishing season in national waters this year began a month later, due to a delay in the shrimp maturation process.
From January 1 to September 4 of this year, the freezer fleet unloaded 70,179 tonnes of shrimp; coastal vessels, 39,057 tonnes; fresh fish vessels, 30,032 tonnes and bay/ estuary vessels, 6,113 tonnes.
