Vladivostok (INTERFAX) - Gleb Frank's Atlantic Crab, Kamchatka Crab and Pacific Crab, which have been registered at the free port of Vladivostok, intend to build 10 new crab catchers under the quota program in exchange for investment.

"All sea vessels are planned to be launched by 2025, they will be based and serviced in the ports of Slavyanka and Zarubino in the Primorsky Territory. The total investment in projects is estimated at 15.5 billion rubles," the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East said in a statement.

According to SPARK-Interfax, all three companies - Atlantic Crab, Kamchatka Crab and Pacific Crab - belong to the owner of the Russian Fishery Company (RFC), Gleb Frank. Legal entities were registered in Vladivostok in August 2018.

According to the report, the new vessels will conduct fishing activities in the Okhotsk and Bering seas.

Having formed their own fleet, capable of catching crabs and processing them directly at sea, the resident enterprises will establish the production of boiled and frozen products, and will also be able to transport the catch alive, the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East notes.
