Imports of frozen hair tail , down 13 percent from the previous year

Import volume of frozen hair tail, beltfish or ribbon fish (Trichiurus lepturus), in November 2019 was about 1,199 tons, down about 13 percent from 1,375 tons a year earlier.
The cumulative amount of frozen hair tail imported in November came to about 13,695 tons, down 12 percent from 15,504 tons a year earlier.

In the past six years from 2014 -2019, the average November import was 1,934 tons. Compared to about 1,199 tons imported in November 2019, this year's import volume has decreased by about 38 percent

The frozen hair tail were imported from a total of 25 countries including Senegal, Venezuela, Morocco and China.
