The Undersecretariat of Fisheries and Aquaculture (SUBPESCA) has decided to extend the deadline for receipt of proposals for the regions of Los Lagos, Aysén and Magallanes, in response to requests for expansion.
SUBPESCA informed that the deadline to present the observations and proposals to the technical report that justifies the establishment of the fishing grounds in the regions of Los Lagos, Aysén and Magallanes (disposition according to the General Law of Fisheries and Aquaculture in article 6 of Act 20,825), will be closed on April 17.
Act 20,825 extends the deadline for granting new aquaculture concessions in the regions of Los Lagos, Aysén and Magallanes, and indicates that the relocation of farming centers can not be overlapped with Amerb, parks and marine reserves, national parks, EMCPO, areas where there is a natural bank or fishing ground and sectors of tourist interest defined in the respective zoning.
The observations to the proposals must be sent to the offices of the SUBPESCA in Valparaíso or to their Zonal Fishing Directions
