Marinazul, subsidiary of the Camposol Group, expects to strengthen its shrimp production after the purchase of all the shares of the shrimp export company La Fragata last November.
The Exportation of Peruvian Prawns of High Quality Grows Incorporating High Potential of Expansion
In 2018 La Fragata exported shrimp for a total of USD 1,229 million in FOB value. For its part, the Camposol Group has been increasing the volume of its shrimp sales, which grew by 18 percent in the third quarter of last year, reported Semana Económica.
"We have been focusing on shrimp production with intensive production technology. Our growth is due to our focus on converting hectares from extensive production fields to intensive production systems where 20 times more are produced per hectare," Camposol explained, after indicating that its production grew approximately 20 percent in 2018.
