Norwegian salmon advertised in Hong Kong

During week 41, the average price of fresh salmon (Salmo Salar) was NOK 50.70 (EUR 5.06/kg). This price is up 1% on that of the previous week and down 13% on that of the same week in 2018. Compared with the same week in 2017, it was down 7% according to Norwegian Statistics.

The average price of exports of frozen salmon was NOK 56.87 (EUR 5.67/kg), up 1% than the price of the previous week and down 9% than the same week of 2018, being 5% lower than 2017.

Markets
Exports of fresh salmon during the week reported 21,887 tonnes. This figure is 1% higher than the previous week and 1% higher than that of the same week in 2018, growing 20% in relation to the same week of 2017. So far this year, exports of salmon registered 720,702 tonnes, up 5% in volume on that of the same period in 2018 and up 14% on that of 2017.

Exports of frozen products during the week reported 411 tonnes. This figure is down 66% on that of the previous week and 6% on that of the same week in 2018, it was down 28% on that of the same week in 2017. During the year, exports of frozen salmon registered 15,483 tonnes, up 10% on that of the same period in the previous year and down 6% on that of the same period in 2017.
