Investment in "Farm-to-Table" Value Chain Opens Doors to Markets in Europe, South America, and Asia

GREENFEED, one of the leading animal feed producers in Southeast Asia, has taken a crucial step to solidify Vietnamese aquaculture in international markets. The company's aquatic division has secured the prestigious Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) international certification for its Tay Ninh plant, underscoring its strategic and methodical investment in building an integrated, sustainable aquaculture value chain.

ASC Certification as a Global Passport

The ASC accreditation is a globally recognized standard that evaluates responsible aquaculture operations against rigorous criteria, including:

  • Traceability of raw materials.

  • Environmental protection.

  • Social and labor responsibility.

  • Transparent supply chain management.

The achievement of the ASC certification comes in addition to the Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) certification, which GREENFEED has consistently maintained since 2014, confirming its superior production capabilities and product quality, trusted by both domestic customers and global export partners.

A Comprehensive "Farm-to-Table" Integrated Value Chain

GREENFEED has developed a comprehensive aquaculture value chain that spans from sourcing raw materials for aquafeed production to delivering processed seafood products to both domestic and international markets.

This integrated "farm-to-table" model not only addresses the challenges faced by aquaculture farmers but also drives greater efficiency and productivity, contributing to the Vietnamese aquaculture sector reaching professional and sustainable development standards.

Boosting Frog and Tilapia Exports

The company's strategy focuses on key products with high export potential, such as frog and black tilapia.

Frog Sector

  • GREENFEED has introduced its AQUAGREEN, SUPERWHITE, and PANAFEED feed lines for frogs, meeting clean, safe, and nutrient-rich standards, and strictly excluding banned substances in compliance with regulations set by the Directorate of Fisheries.

  • Ensuring market access for frog farmers who follow GREENFEED's certified export models is a distinct advantage.

  • Export products, such as frozen frog legs, are fully traceable and comply with stringent product quality requirements across diverse international markets, including Europe, South America, Oceania, and Asia (Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, among others).

Tilapia Value Chain

  • For black tilapia, GREENFEED is building a dedicated value chain designed to maximize farmers’ economic returns and unlock the export potential of Vietnamese tilapia.

  • Its newly introduced PANAFEED line supports tilapia farming in ponds and cages with low water flow, from fry under 5 grams to market-size fish weighing 100-200 grams and above.

  • The result is export-quality tilapia that meets the stringent requirements of international markets across Europe, South America, Oceania, and Asia.

By building and continuously refining its aquaculture value chain, GREENFEED not only provides tangible economic benefits for farmers but also advances the position of Vietnam's aquaculture sector in global markets. It is worth noting that Vietnam is the only producer of Pangasius with ASC certification, giving its products a competitive edge in key markets like the US and Japan.
