According to the sectoral monitoring system, the total volume of extraction (capture) of aquatic biological resources by all Russian users as of February 24, 2021 amounted to 681.1 thousand tons, which is 101.9 thousand tons or 13% less than the 2020 level.
In the Far East fishing basin, the total volume of production of aquatic biological resources amounted to 509.65 thousand tons (98.84 thousand tons or 16.24% less than in the same period last year). In the pollock fishery, the catch was 356.81 thousand tons (-112.55 thousand tons), in the cod fishery - 29.01 thousand tons (-4.6 thousand tons), in the herring fishery - 82.43 thousand tons. Tons (+27.57 thousand tons).
In the northern fishing basin, the total volume of production amounted to 65.58 thousand tons (-10.2 thousand tons or -13.46%). In the cod fishery, the catch was 48.86 thousand tons (-6.89 thousand tons), haddock - 11.7 thousand tons (-0.49 thousand tons).
The total volume of production in the western fishing basin amounted to 21.14 thousand tons (+7.64 thousand tons or + 56.6%). In the sprat fishery, the catch amounted to 16.25 thousand tons (+ 8.23 thousand tons), Baltic herring - 4.65 thousand tons (-0.63 thousand tons).
In the Azov-Black Sea fishing basin, the total production volume was 8.37 thousand tons (-7.27 thousand tons or -46.5%). In the anchovy fishery, the catch amounted to 7.06 thousand tons (-7.25 thousand tons).
In the Volga-Caspian fishing basin, the total production volume amounted to 11.11 thousand tons (+7.89 thousand tons or + 244.79%). The sprat catch volume is 10.54 thousand tons (+7.87 thousand tons).
The total volume of production in the areas of foreign states amounted to 47.7 thousand tons (+0.3 thousand tons or + 0.6%), in conventional areas and the open part of the World Ocean - 16.4 thousand tons ( -1.5 thousand tons or -8.6%).
