In this way, its entry into force will allow 45 Basque Spanish and Galician vessels to return to this fishing ground, which had to abandon it after the previous protocol was completed on December 22, 2018, ministerial sources said, adding that the annual financial contribution will be 400,000 euros per access to resources plus another 350,000 euros in sectoral support.
The duration of the agreement will be 5 years, which will ensure the stability and legal security of the fishing activity within the framework of this important agreement for the tuna and surface longline fleets.
