Police seize stolen premium salmon that was going to be exported to the US

The South East Metropolitan Robbery Brigade of the Chilean Investigative Police (PDI) arrested five people after an inspection carried out by the Stolen Goods Market team inside the Santiago Fishing Terminal, in the municipality of Lo Espejo.
The operation was carried out after receiving the information about the sale of a premium salmon freight from some brands that had been robbed in the last month, merchandise that was destined for Miami, in the United States.
Detectives seized more than 2.5 tons of this product, valued at 36 million 675 thousand pesos. (Approx US $ 45,600)
The cargo had to be destroyed because it could not be verified that the cold chain was maintained.
