Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar)
Average weekly price of exports of Atlantic salmon recorded a slight increase

During week 23, the average price of fresh salmon (Salmo salar) was NOK 61.85 (EUR 6.32/kg). This figure is up 6% from that of the previous week and up 1% from that of the same week in 2018. Compared with the same week in 2017, the price dropped 2%, according to Norwegian Statistics.

The average price of exports of frozen salmon was NOK 65.82 (EUR 6.73/kg), up 3% from that of the previous week and down 5% from that of the same week in 2018. The price also fell 6% compared with that of 2017.

Markets
Exports of fresh salmon during the week reached 15,457 tonnes, down 12% from that of the previous week and 8% from that of the same week in 2018; but up 21% compared with the same week in 2017. So far this year, exports of salmon have reached 872,137 tonnes, an increase of 3% compared with the same period in 2018 and 12% compared with 2017.

Exports of frozen products during the week reached 403 tonnes. This figure is down 6% from that of the previous week and 43% higher compared with that of the same week in 2018, and it was up 75% from that of the same week in 2017. So far this year, exports of frozen salmon have amounted to 6,590 tonnes, down 5% from those of the same period in the previous year and 33% from those of the same period in 2017.
