Exports of Alaskan pollock surimi according to official figures

At US Customs, the average price per kilogram of Alaskan pollock surimi (Theragra chalcogram) (HS 0304991130) in April was USD 2.78/kg. This price is 1% lower than that of March and 8% higher than that of April 2018. In the first four months, the average price is USD 2.77 / kg, 9% more than in 2018.

In the reported month, US exports of Alaska pollock surimi totalled 19,834 tons worth USD 55,091,000, a drop of 44% in volume and value compared with the previous month and 28% less in volume and 22% less in value than in April of last year.

In the first four months, exports reached 73,131 tonnes worth USD 202,231,000, 3% less in volume and 5% more in value than in the previous year.

So far this year, Korea has been destined for 29,210 tonnes for USD 84,461,000, followed by Japan with 27,919 tonnes.
