Wholesale prices for frozen fish were characterized by multidirectional trends

Over the past period from June 7 to June 13, 2021, prices for frozen fish in the wholesale segment of the domestic market moved in different directions.
In the Far East region, under the influence of fluctuations in the ruble exchange rate and excess supply, the price of pollock decreased by 2.8% (-9.1% since the beginning of the year) and amounted to 70 rubles per kg. The price of Pacific cod also decreased by 1.2%, over the past period its price amounted to 163 rubles per kg. At the same time, prices for other types of frozen fish did not change, the price of Pacific herring remained at the level of 72 rubles per kg, flounder - 60 rubles.
In the Northwest, prices for popular types of frozen fish were stable. Haddock cost 150 rubles per kg, Atlantic mackerel - 180 rubles per kg, Atlantic herring - 100 rubles per kg, Atlantic cod - 230 rubles per kg.
In the central regions, prices for mackerel and Atlantic herring increased by 2.7% and 1.9% and amounted to 190 rubles per kg and 107 rubles per kg, respectively. The rest of the prices did not change: pollock still cost 90 rubles per kg, capelin - 125 rubles.
Retail prices continued to rise. In the period from 1 to 7 June, the average level of consumer prices for frozen uncut fish increased by 0.44%
