Pacific Organic Seafood Association (POSA) members raise seafood in a healthy, safe and environmentally friendly way. The standards used by POSA members meet or exceed standards that have been set by the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IFOAM). The standards that have been set for POSA members are based on a review of standards that have been accepted by 14 global organic standard setting organizations for the organic rearing of aquatic species. In addition to these global standards POSA members have additional standards, which address local social and ecological issues.
