Sustainable Blue is a Canadian producer of both exotic and native species of fish, situated close to The Bay of Fundy in Nova Scotia. It uses world leading aquaculture technology, designed in-house, in the operation of land based recirculation fish farms. It is committed to product quality, environmental responsibility and commercial success through technological excellence.
For Sustainable Blue, the role of technology is simply to replicate the natural environment of the ocean, which is constant and in balance. By avoiding the fluctuations in water quality commonly associated with all other forms of aquaculture, our fish perform to the best of their natural ability.
Our focus on technology is in the pursuit of quality, responsibility and success. It is also in the belief that land based aquaculture is the least intrusive solution to the depletion of wild fish stocks globally.
Our technology allows us to collect all the organic effluent from the farm and store it on land.
This organic material will eventually be used as an agricultural fertilizer.
Sustainable Blue farms have no impact on their local marine environment.
