In 1990, it was a dream come true for James Burnsed, who recognized that the difference between a good piece of fish and a great piece of fish came down to the shipping and handling of it. Shipping fresh fish requires special care and attentiveness.
The safe and accurate handling of seafood is paramount when it comes to expedited shipping and handling. With determination, mindfulness and hard work, Burnsed became an expert in trucking fish and shipping logistics.
Burnsed Refrigerated Trucking and Express is proud to be the “#1 choice for hauling fresh fish and seafood.”
Burnsed Corporate Facilities mainly operate from (in our opinion: The Best Truckers location in Florida) Saint Lucie County which encompasses three main parcels and consists of a maintenance building, cross-docking, storage, parking, and offices. The main cross-docking warehouse provides for drive-in trailer loading/unloading with large office areas and a 4 to 5-person common shared workspace adjacent to the loading areas. There is a break area with shower facilities. The building has an emergency generator and diesel fuel supply. Most of the land is fenced and provides ample space for tractor/trailer loading and unloading as well as employee parking. The custom-built warehouse and office space meets the specific requirements of the company’s refrigerated freight business with a focus on marine/seafood. All vehicles are parked on site.
