Price

The average CIF price ofpangasius fillets imported in June was USD 3,641 per tonne, 7% lower than in July and 23% lower than in August 2018. In the first eight months, the average was USD 4,486/t, up 5% on that of the same period last year.

Market

In August, 3,153 tons of frozen pangasius fillets were entered for a CIF value of USD 11,479,000, 26% lower volume and 31% value than what was imported in the previous month and 69% lower volume and 76% value than what was imported in August 2018 .

In the period totalled 37,545 tons for USD 168,422,000, 33% lower volume and 29% lower value than in the previous year. Vietnam was the supplier of 36,925 tonnes while China was the source of 619 tonnes.
