On Galician markets, in September, supplies of most shellfish species declined. However, the most important variation was the rise in cockles. The most important decline was that in manila clam.

On Mercabarna, in September, incoming volumes of frozen shellfish increased by 4 tonnes and those of fresh species declined by 13 tonnes. The most significant drops were those in fresh rock mussel, fresh Norway lobster, fresh farmed clam and fresh Oyster. The most important rises were those in fresh mussels, fresh European lobster, fresh striped venus, fresh northern scallop and fresh edible crab.

On Mercamadrid, in September, compared with the previous month, the most important variations in frozen products was the drop in lobster and the rise in Norway lobster. Regarding fresh species, the most significant increases were registered in mussel, import velvet swimcrab and farmed clams. The most significant declines were those in striped venus.

France

At French ports, in September, volumes declined in the case of European lobster, regular snail and Norway lobster.

Italy

At Italian ports, volumes of shellfish landed in September increased mostly in striped venus, Norway lobster and mussels. Those of mantis shrimp and stone crab declined. The main ports were those of Goro, Ancona and Aci Trezza.

Spain

In Galician markets, in September, the quotes of most species declined due to the lower demand. We must highlight the rise in cockles, despite the important increase in supplies. Those of ox crab, grooved carpet shell and mature dosinica rose. The most important drops were reported by the Norway lobster and velvet swimcrab.

On Mercabarna, the most important drops in prices were those in frozen spiny rock lobster, fresh fresh crab, frozen Norway lobster, fresh fine shells, fresh European lobster and fresh rock mussels. The most important increases were those in fresh velvet swimcrab, fresh Norway lobster, fresh spider crab and fresh barnacle.

On Mercamadrid, in August, prices remained stable in all frozen species. Most fresh species also remained stable, except for striped venus and large Norway lobster that reported a drop.

On French first-sale markets, prices of European lobster and snail increased because of lower supplies. Those of Norway lobster declined due to the lower demand.
