Prices
Spain
On Mercabarna, in September, the most important declines were registered in fresh octopus, fresh squid, frozen Indian squid, fresh baby squid and frozen Patagonian squid, all of them due to bulkier supplies. The most significant increases were registered in frozen Thai octopus, frozen dirty giant squid, frozen Galician octopus, frozen shortfin squid and frozen crushed clean giant squid, all due to a higher demand. That of frozen cooked octopus increased due to the decline in supplies.
On Mercamadrid, prices of cephalopods remained stable in all species, except for that of fresh squid that dropped by EUR 0.49/kg.
