Prices
The average price of frozen mackerel (HS 030354000) was JPY 250/kg at Japanese Customs in March, up 4% on that of February and up 30% on that of March 2018.

Markets
Japanese imports of mackerel (HS 0303.54.000) reached 2,795 tonnes, worth JPY 733 million CIF at Japanese Customs. These figures are down 46% in volume and 44% in value on those of the previous month and up 1% in volume and 32% in value on those of March 2018.

In the quarter imports reached 26,360 tons and JPY 6,594 million, 24% more in volume and 50% in value in relation to the same period 2018.
