Prices
Spain
On Mercabarna, in July, the most important variations in prices were the drops in fresh sole due to a rise in supplies; and in frozen cod croquettes and frozen kingclip slices because of a lower demand. The most important increases were registered in fresh grouper, fresh wild turbot, fresh import angler, fresh wild seabream, fresh wild seabass and fresh national longline hake, due to a drop in supplies. The price of fresh snapper and fresh wild croaker rose due to a higher demand.
On the wholesale market of Mercamadrid, prices of frozen species remained stable. Regarding fresh species, the most important drops were those in sole, head-on angler, small megrim and cod cheeks. The most significant increases were those in tilapia, seabream, longline sea trout, angler and seabream.
