Price

The average CIF price of pangasius fillets imported in June was USD 3,828 per tonne, 4% lower than in May and 15% lower than in June 2018. In the first six months, the average was USD 4,657/t, up 14% on that of the same period last year.

Market

In June, 4,516 tons of frozen fillets of pangasius were entered for a CIF value of USD 17,288,000, 70% higher volume and 64% value than what was imported in the previous month and 19% lower volume and 31% value that was imported in June 2018.

In the period totalled 30,128 tonnes for USD 140,309,000, 18% lower volume and 6% lower value than in the previous year. Vietnam was the supplier of 29,548 tonnes while China was the source of 579 tonnes.
