On Galician markets, in August, the most important drops were those in Norway lobster, velvet swimcrab and sabre clam volumes. The most important rises were those in manila clam, cockles, razor shell, pullet carpet shell and barnacle.

On the wholesale market of Mercabarna, incoming volumes declined by 70 tonnes in August. The most important drops were those in fresh rock mussels, fresh striped Venus, fresh farmed clam, fresh scallop, fresh sea ox crab, frozen gills, fresh razor shell and fresh European lobster. The most important rises were those in fresh oyster, fresh Norway lobster, frozen Norway lobster, fresh mussel, fresh grooved carpet shell and fresh velvet swimcrab.
On Mercamadrid, in August, and compared with the previous month, the most important drops in volumes were those in fresh mussels, fresh farmed clam, frozen cockles, fresh banded carpet shell, fresh sea crab and fresh pullet carpet shell. The most important increases were those in frozen lobster, fresh national striped venus, frozen lobster tails and frozen priwinkle.

Italy
At Italian ports, volumes of shellfish landed in August increased mostly in striped venus and mussels. Those of Norway lobster, mantis shrimp and stone crab declined. The main ports were Aci Trezza and Goro.

On Mercabarna, the most important drops in prices were those in fresh grooved carpet shell, fresh velvet swimcrab, frozen spiny rock lobster, frozen European lobster, frozen Norway lobster, fresh fine shells and fresh cockles. The most important increases were those in fresh Norway lobster, fresh spiny lobster, frozen gills, fresh regular snail, fresh barnacle, fresh European lobster, fresh sea ox crab, fresh spider crab, frozen spiny lobster and fresh crab.
On Mercamadrid, in August, prices remained stable in all frozen species. Regarding fresh ones, there was a drop in pullet carpet shell and Italian striped venus. The most important rises were those in manila clam, farmed carpet shell, and fresh razor shell.

Italy
At Italian ports, during August, volumes of mussels increased due to a higher demand. Those of mantis shrimp and Norway lobster declined due to a lower demand and so did that of striped venus, because of a rise in supplies.
