Salmon (Salmo salar)
Prices
During week 49, the average price of fresh salmon (Salmo salar) was NOK 63.72 (EUR 6.31/kg). This figure is up 1% on that of the previous week and up 7% on that of the same week in 2018. Compared with the same week in 2017, it was up 19% in value according to Norwegian Statistics.

The average price of exports of frozen salmon was NOK 58.48 (EUR 5.79/kg), 2% higher than the price of the previous week and on the same week of 2018, growing 10% in relation to the 2017.

Markets
Exports of fresh salmon during the week reported 20,399 tonnes. This figure is down 6% on that of the previous week and on that of the same week in 2018; it was down 6% on that of the same week in 2017. So far this year, exports of salmon registered 888,894 tonnes, this volume is up 5% on that of the same period in 2018 and 12% on that of 2017.

Exports of frozen products during the week reported 415 tonnes. This figure is 30% lower than the previous week and 13% lower than the same week of 2018, falling 36% compared to the same week of 2017. During the year, exports of frozen salmon registered 19,655 tonnes, up 12% on that of the same period in the previous year and down 6% on that of the same period in 2017.
