Mackerel
Prices
The average price of frozen mackerel (HS 030354000) was JPY 290/kg at Japanese Customs in September, up 4% on that of August and up 22% on that of September 2018. During the first nine months, it averaged JPY 258/kg, up 19% on that of the same period in the previous year.

Markets
Japanese imports of mackerel (HS 0303.54.000) reached 1,588 tonnes, worth JPY 460 million CIF at Japanese Customs. These figures are down 22% in volume and 19% in value on those of the previous month and down 22% in volume and 4% in value on those of September 2019.

In the period, exports reached 43,077 tonnes and JPY 11,131 million, up 7% in volume and 28% in value compared to the same period of 2018.
