The average price of frozen mackerel (HS 030354000) was JPY 248/kg at Japanese Customs in January, down 1% on that of December 2018 and up 21% on that of January 2018.

Markets
Japanese imports of mackerel (HS 0303.54.000) reached 18,345 tonnes, worth JPY 4,545 million CIF at Japanese Customs. These figures are down 21% in volume and in value on those of the previous month and up 25% in volume and 51% in value on those of January 2018.
