Import trends of Norwegian Mackerel over the past 10 years in Korea

In 2020, Norway's frozen mackerel imports were 33,190 tons, the lowest since 2015, with 40,426 tons being imported, the largest since 2016.
The average annual import volume over the past decade was 29,654 tons, an increase of 11.9% in 2020.
The major exporters of mackerel are nine countries, with Norway accounting for 78% of the total, followed by Russia, China and Taiwan.
In 2020, the average import price of Norwegian frozen mackerel was formed at USD 2.03/kg, down 3% from the average import price of USD 2.10/kg over the past decade.
It was imported into the highest USD 2.85/Kg in 2011 and the lowest USD 1.75/Kg in 2015.
The distribution price of frozen mackerel, which is currently in circulation in Korea, is 20 kg, and the small size(300/500g) is 60,000 Korea won and the large size(400/600g) is 55,000 Korea won.
