The following is an excerpt from an article published by bnnbreaking:

Learn how the National Fisheries Institute's strategic inclusion of BlueNalu and the launch of the Sushi Council are shaping the future of the seafood industry through innovation, sustainability, and quality standards.

In a groundbreaking move for the seafood industry, the National Fisheries Institute (NFI) has not only surpassed its record for new member additions but has also welcomed its first cell-cultured seafood company, BlueNalu, into its ranks. This strategic inclusion marks a notable shift towards embracing innovative technologies that promise to redefine seafood sustainability and consumption. Lisa Wallenda Picard, NFI's President and CEO, underscored the importance of this expansion as not merely a numerical increase but a significant evolution towards a more engaged and futuristic industry perspective.

Further solidifying its commitment to innovation and quality, NFI has introduced its inaugural Sushi Council, with BlueNalu among its founding members. This initiative aims to elevate sushi product integrity and promote food safety standards across the U.S., a significant move given the rising popularity of sushi. The formation of the Sushi Council reflects a proactive stance on maintaining high standards in a fast-growing segment of the seafood market, ensuring consumers enjoy not only delicious but also safe and sustainable options.

Charting the Future of Seafood

By embracing companies like BlueNalu, the NFI is not just expanding its membership base; it is actively participating in shaping the future of the seafood industry. Cell-cultured seafood represents a promising frontier that could potentially [...]
