The average price of frozen mackerel (HS 030354000) was JPY 248/kg at Japanese Customs in January, down 1 per cent on that of December 2018 and up 21 per cent on that of January 2018.

Markets
Japanese imports of mackerel (HS 0303.54.000) reached 18,345 tonnes, worth JPY 4,545 million CIF at Japanese Customs. These figures are down 21 per cent in volume and in value on those of the previous month and up 25 per cent in volume and 51 per cent in value on those of January 2018.
