Prices
At US Customs, the average price of Alaskan pollock surimi (Gadus chalcogrammus) (HS 0304991130) was USD 2.53/kg in June. This price is 14% lower than May and 18% higher than June 2018. In the first six months of the year, the price averaged USD 2.77/kg, up 9% on that of the same period in 2018.

Markets
In the reported month, US exports of Alaska pollock surimi were 1,901 tonnes worth USD 4,805,000, 70% lower volume and 74% value than the previous month and 49% more in volume and 76% in value than those of June of last year.

In the period, exports reached 81,418 tonnes worth USD 225,807,000, 2% less in volume and 7% more in value than in the previous year.

So far this year, Japan has been destined for 32,250 tonnes for USD 87,412,000, followed by Korea with 30,560 tonnes.
