The total catch of aquatic bioresources approached 4.3 million tons

According to the industry monitoring system of the Federal Agency for Fisheries (Federal Service for Fisheries and Oceanography), the catch of aquatic bioresources by all Russian users amounted to almost 4.3 million tons.

Far Eastern basin: over 3.2 million tons (3266.7 thousand tons)

Pollock - over 1.78 million tons; cod – 96.7 thousand tons; Pacific herring – 350.1 thousand tons (+49 thousand tons compared to 2023); Far Eastern flounder – 57.6 thousand tons; Iwashi sardines – 435.6 thousand tons in the Russian EEZ (+56.7 thousand tons to the 2023 level)

Northern basin: 395 thousand tons

Cod – 201.2 thousand tons; haddock – 52.1 thousand tons; capelin – 51.7 thousand tons (+ 28.6 thousand tons compared to the 2023 level)

Western basin: 62 thousand tons;

Sprat – 32.5 thousand tons; Baltic herring – 20.7 thousand tons

Azov-Black Sea basin: 27.5 thousand tons

of Hamsa - 9.5 thousand tons (+ 0.9 thousand tons to the 2023 level)

Volga-Caspian basin: 61.4 thousand tons

Sprat – 20.9 thousand tons; ordinary fish species – 15.8 thousand tons

In the exclusive economic zones of foreign states, conventional areas and the open part of the World Ocean, the catch of the Russian fleet amounted to almost 432.3 thousand tons.

As of November 2, there were 29 vessels approaching the seaports of Primorsky Krai with 30,466 thousand tons of fish products on board. Of these, 2 vessels with salmon (1,284 thousand tons). Fresh-frozen catches of pollock (7,985 thousand tons), herring (2,487 thousand tons) and cod (0,209 thousand tons).

Products from fresh catches are supplied to the domestic market on a priority basis.
