As reported by Faro de Vigo, there were no injured among the crew members, although it was necessary to rescue Asian sailors from the risk of boat sinking.
The ship Iván Nores (from Pesquerías Nores), which was also in the area, participated in the rescue work. The Capricorn (Pescapuerta) and the Playa Pesmar Dos (Pesquerías Marinenses) also helped.

One hour later, from the Fishing Vaqueiro, it was alerted to the rest of the Galician fleet in the area, that the Chinese ship sailors had already been rescued, and that had about 30 on board. The rest of the crew was picked up by the Nores ship.
The Pesca Vaqueiro is a freezer trawler 75 meters in length by 12.5 of beam, which was built in 1988.

The accident occurred in an international waters area where there is usually a large presence of Asian vessels, especially from China, which mainly capture squid.
