Evaluation of surveys of sales of frozen shrimp into the United States of 187 exporters from India during the period from February 1, 2021 to January 31, 2022.

In preliminary conclusions, The US Department of Commerce (DOC) said that some frozen shrimp products from India have been sold into the US market with lower value than usual. The two compulsory defendants are Megaa Moda PVT. Ltd (Megaa Moda) and NK Marine Exports LLP (NK Marine), which were preliminarily applied to 7.92% and 1.43% respectively. The dumping amplitude for the remaining 185 companies of India is 3.76%, based on the tax rate applicable to two compulsory defendants. These profit ratios are higher than the ratio calculated in the final results of the 16th administrative review, including the period from February 1, 2020-31/1/2021. During that review, the profit rate of LNSK Green House Agro Products LLP was kept at 0%, while Royal Imports and Exports and 161 other Indian shrimp exporters were taken to the tax rate of 3.01%.

The US Department of Commerce (DOC) plans to continue applying the anti -dumping tax rate of 3.76% for 185 Indian shrimp exporters, after the preliminary results of the 17th administrative review.

The 15th administrative review, reviewed from February 1, 2019-31/1/2020, has set a tax rate of 7.15% for 152 Indian shrimp exporters.

If the 3.76% dumping rate is kept in the final result of the 17th administrative review, this will be the fourth highest tax that Doc has been imposed on the sales activities of the Indian shrimp exporters into the US since the beginning of the review in 2007.

India has been the leading shrimp exporting country to the US since 2013. In 2022, India has exported 303,574 tons (MT), equivalent to 669 million pao shrimp to the US in 2022, decreased compared to 2021 When exporting 340,892 tons, equivalent to 752 million pao.
