Imports of frozen pollock, 60% increase over the previous year

In March 2020, imports of frozen pollock amounted to 20,871 tons, up 60 % from 13.069 tons a year earlier.
The import volume of accumulated frozen pollock stood at about 44,583 tons in March, up 66% from 26,900 tons a year earlier.
The average March import volume from 2005 to 2020 was 18,398 tons, up about 13 % from 20,871 tons in 2020.
In March of this year, a total of four major suppliers of frozen pollock followed by Russia, the United States, Canada and Japan.
It was imported in the order of 39,067 tons from Russia, 5,424 tons from the United States, 67 tons from Canada and 24 tons from Japan.
