The Fisheries and Aquaculture Research Fund (FIPA) has placed a total of five research projects within the Public Market portal, including an indicative budget of CLP 336 million (approximately USD 497,300).
These projects cover a number of areas, such as the study of gaps presented by the process activity derived from the jumbo flying squid to reach international markets, and the determination of the non-quality costs of artisanal fisheries. In addition, new research lines are opened in resources such as seriola and croaker, the process development of cartographic regulation of the aquaculture concessions of the southern zone is followed and a study is proposed on organic aquaculture in Chile.
"This diversity of lines reflects a more holistic view that is taking sector research as a contribution to the task of moving towards an ecosystem approach in sector administration," said FIPA Executive Secretary Luis Carroza.
Universities and Consultants interested in participating in the public bidding process can obtain more information on the FIPA website.
