Update on far east salmon season

June 30, 2020 in Rosrybolovstvo held a regular meeting of the headquarters for 2020 salmon season
As of June 29, 2020, the catch of Pacific salmon in the Far Eastern fisheries basin exceeded 6 thousand tons. The catch of salmon continues in all regions of the Far East.
Distribution by region: Kamchatka Territory - 4087 tons; Khabarovsk Territory - 960 tons; Sakhalin Oblast - 474 tons;Primorsky Krai - 456 tons; Chukotka Autonomous Okrug - 25.9 tons; Magadan region - 7.8 tons.
Kamchatka Territory fishermen are still leading, but at the same time, the current indicators of their harvest (catch) are 42% (3 thousand tons) behind the indicators of the same period in 2018. The lag behind the 2018 level is observed on Sakhalin - 474 tons were produced there (30%, or 203 tons less than in 2018) and in the Khabarovsk Territory, where 960 tons were caught (a slight lag behind the level of 2018).
Outstripping the level of 2018, Pacific salmon are harvested by fishermen of the Primorsky Territory, Magadan Region and Chukotka Autonomous Region. The catch growth, compared with the same period in 2018, in Primorye amounted to 448 tons (7.6 tons in 2018), in the Magadan region - 6.2 tons (1.5 tons in 2018), in Chukotka - 22 , 3 tons (3.5 tons in 2018).
In general, current catch rates are kept at 68.5% of the same period in the record year 2018 (the lag is 2.8 thousand tons).
