1.1 Norway
Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar)
Prices
During week 47, the average price of fresh salmon was NOK 61.56 (EUR 6.09/kg). This figure is up 5% on that of the previous week and 14% on that of the same week in 2018. Compared with the same week in 2017, it was up 26% in value according to Norwegian Statistics.

The average price of exports of frozen salmon was NOK 56.12 (EUR 5.55/kg), up 1% than the price of the previous week and down 1% than the same week of 2018, being 3% lower than 2017.

Markets
Exports of fresh salmon during the week reported 21,543 tonnes. This figure is up 5% on that of the previous week and 9% on that of the same week in 2018; it was up 9% on that of the same week in 2017. So far this year, exports of salmon registered 846,712 tonnes, up 6% on that of the same period in 2018 and 13% on that of 2017.

Exports of frozen products during the week reported 568 tonnes. This figure is up 4% on that of the previous week and up 31% on that of the same week in 2018; it was up 1% on that of the same week in 2017. During the year, exports of frozen salmon registered 18,644 tonnes, up 12% on that of the same period in the previous year and down 5% on that of the same period in 2017.
