Prices
In January the average price in customs of imported fresh fillets was 2 per cent inferior to that from last month and 5 per cent lower than that from January 2018. That of frozen products was USD 4,130/kg, a figure that is 7 per cent superior to that from December and 6 per cent higher than that from January 2018.

Markets
In January fresh fillet imports amounted to 1,824 tonnes for USD 13,646,000, which is 13 per cent higher in volume and 11 per cent higher in value compared to the previous month but 8 per cent lower in volume and 13 per cent lower in value than that in January 2018.

Frozen fillet imports reached 7,643 tonnes for a CIF value at customs amounted to USD 31,562,000. These figures are 61 per cent lower in volume and 58 per cent lower in value compared to those last month and 43 per cent lower in volume and 40 per cent lower in value compared to those from January last year.

During the month 3,092 tonnes of other products (whole, H&G and eviscerated (HS 0303890040 and HS 0303230000) were also imported for a CIF value at customs amounting to USD 6,300,000.
