In March the average price of imported fresh fillets at Customs was up 1% on that of the previous month and 6% on that of March 2017. The price of frozen products was USD 4,084/kg, up 5% on that of February and down 2% on that of March 2017.

Markets
In March, imports of fresh fillets reached 2,037 tonnes and USD 15,789,000, up 8% in volume and 9% in value on those of the previous month and down 21% and 16% respectively on those of March 2017. In the three months, they totalled 5,898 tonnes and USD 45,866,000, down 15% in volume and down 8% in value on those of the same period in 2017.

Imports of frozen fillets reached 8,066 tonnes, worth USD 33,020,000 CIF at Customs. These figures are down 20% in volume and 16% in value on those of previous month and up 31% in volume and 29% in value on those of March 2017. During the three months, exports totalled 31,739 tonnes worth USD 125,105,000, down 2% in volume and 3% in value on those of the same period in 2017.

During the three months, imports of other products (whole, H&G and gutted, HS 0303890040 and HS 0303230000) totalled 10,831 tonnes, worth USD 20,717,000 CIF at Customs
